The German national football team defeated its host Armenia 4-1 during the match that brought them together on Sunday in the final tenth round of the tenth round of the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
The German team’s goals were scored by Kai Havertz in the 15th minute, and Ilkay Gundogan (2 goals) in the fourth minute of overtime for the first half with a penalty kick and 50 and Jonas Hoffmann in the 64th minute, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the goal of the Armenian team in the 59th minute.
The German team raised its score to 27 points at the top of the standings, and the Armenian team’s balance stopped at 12 points in fourth place.
North Macedonia was included in the European play-off after finishing second after beating Iceland 3-1.
Macedonia’s goals were scored by Izgan Alyoski in the seventh minute and Elif Almas (two goals) in the 65th and 86th minutes, while Iceland’s goal was scored by Jon Dagor Thorstenson in the 54th minute.
North Macedonia raised its score to 18 points in second place, and Iceland’s tally stopped at nine points in fifth place.
