AC Milan earned their first Champions League point of the season with a 1-1 draw with Porto at the San Siro on Wednesday, but the result left the seven-times European champions close to being knocked out of the competition.
Luis Diaz scored in the sixth minute to put Porto ahead and the Portuguese team dominated the game against an out-of-form AC Milan.
Milan equalized the result thanks to an own goal by Porto’s Chancel Mbemba after the break, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal was ruled out for offside as the Italian team searched for the winning goal.
Porto jumped to second place with five points, four points ahead of Milan, bottom of the standings.
Third-placed Atletico Madrid, who have four points, meet Liverpool, who have nine, at Anfield later on Wednesday.
