Pogba leaves France training

Midfielder Paul Pogba has left France training with a possible thigh injury ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan on Saturday.

The Manchester United player, who was one of a very small number of players who participated in training on Monday evening, left the field with a thigh problem, accompanied by Doctor Frank Lee Gal.

France leads Group D with 12 points from six matches and will guarantee access to the finals in Qatar 2022 if they defeat Kazakhstan.

France coach Didier Deschamps warned against complacency when the world champions play against a team that has not won in seven group matches.

“The most important thing is to achieve our goal, which is to qualify for the World Cup, and I have to give all my energy and focus,” he told a news conference.

He added: We should not think that we have qualified because we will face Kazakhstan. We will go into the match with determination and strength to win.

France travels to Finland to play another match next Tuesday.
